The drivetrain
Sharing a drivetrain costs us some optimisation on each individual bike. What it buys you is a parts network that actually has the part.
The sensor reads how hard you are pushing forty times a second and matches it, instead of switching on a fixed amount of help the moment the wheel turns. In traffic that difference is the whole experience: the bike does not surge away from you when you nudge off at a light, and it does not keep pushing after you have stopped pedalling. Hills flatten out, flat roads stay quiet, and the battery lasts noticeably longer because the motor is not working when you do not need it.


Every pack slides out of the down tube on the same rail and charges from any wall socket. Three capacities — 630, 840 and 1050 Wh — share one mount, one lock and one charger, so a second pack bought two years from now will still fit. We rate them at 800 full cycles to 80 per cent of original capacity, which for a 20 km daily commute is about four years before you notice. Cells are covered for two years against dropping below 70 per cent.

Built for the wet
Every model goes through the same three-stage test before it ships. None of it is exotic — it is just done, on every frame, every batch.
Thirty minutes under a directed spray at every seal on the bike — motor housing, display, charge port, light connectors. Anything that beads is fine; anything that wicks goes back to the supplier.
Repeated runs through standing water to the bottom bracket, then a bearing strip-down to check for ingress. This is what sets the wading depth we publish.
One monsoon, two cities, real riders. The Jakarta and Bangkok fleets ride pre-production bikes through the wet season and we take them apart afterwards.

The ones that come up most often at the counter.
We rate the packs at 800 full charge cycles to 80% of original capacity. For a rider doing 20 km a day on a City frame that is roughly four years before you notice the range dropping. The two-year warranty covers capacity falling below 70% in that period.
You can ride it in the rain, but do not charge a wet charge port. The motor and display are IPX5 and the pack is sealed, but the charge port is the one place water can sit against contacts. Wipe it and give it ten minutes. This is the single most common cause of the faults we see in the wet season.
No. Every pack we sell is well above the 100 Wh limit that airlines allow in cabin baggage, and lithium packs are not permitted in the hold. If you are moving a bike between countries, ship the frame and buy or borrow a pack at the other end — any of our service points can help.
